KHIJIJI  DYNASTYà

The founder of khiliji dynasty was JALALLUDDIN KHILIJI (1290-1298).KHILII dynasty was a muslic dynasty of Turkic origin.As he was so old ,he was not accepted universally and became unpopular.

After JALALLUDDIN KHILIJI, his nephew & son-in-law  “ALLAUDDIN KHILIJI” from 1296AD to 1316AD. He was the most powerful ruler of Khiliji Dynasty.The taxation system was the best system produced by ALLAUDDIN KHILIJI.

 TUGHLAQ DYNASTYà

            TUGHLAQ  dynasty was founded by GHYASUDDIN TUGHLAQ(1320-1325).He   created a city TUGHLAKABAD which is most strong defence system against MONGOLION attack.After him, Mhd Bin TUGHLAQ (1325-1351) ruled over the dynasty.He was the most powerful ruler of Tughlaq’s. GHYASUDDIN  was killed by Ulugh Juna Khan. Ulugh juna khan( claimed  himself as Mhd bin tughlaq, and ruled for 26 years).

After Mhd bin tughlaq his 45yrs nephew Firoj shah Tughlaq(1351-88) took over to rule.

SAYYID DYNASTYà

     

    The only popular king of SAYYID dynasty was KHIJIL KHAN(1414-51).

LODHI DYNASTYà

  It was created by BEHLAL LODI(1451-89). He was a famous ruler of his tme period.Behlul Lodhi replaced SAYYID DYNANSTY&  ruled the entire NORTHERN AREA.After his dead ,sikandar LODHI (1489-1517) took the responsibity of entire ruling.He founded AGRA in 1504 & shifted his capital from DELHI to AGRA.

 The last king of Delhi SULTANATS was IBRAHIM LODI (Yungest son of sikander) from 1517 to 1526.He was defeated in 1526 at battle of panipat by BABUR. Hence here the rise of the MUGHAL EMPIRE .

The delhi sultanats is also called as SLAVE DYNASTY.

Delhi sultanat is first started with PRITVIRAJ CHOWHAN, the biggest ruler of CHOWHAN’s. In the battle of  TARAIN in 1191 , he faught against Mhd GHOURI and defeated him .But he didn’t kill Mhd GHOURI , so Mhd GHOURI again faught back in 1192 in 2^nd BATTLE OF TARAIN with a large force against PRITVIRAJ CHOWHAN and killed him.

   PRITVIRAJ had a court-poet called “CHANDRAWARDHAYI” who had written a book “PRITVIRAJ-RA-SO” (about pritviraj ) where it was written as JAY CHAND, the ruler of GUDBAHAL, a contempary of PRITVIRAJ faught a battle against PRITVIRAJ CHOWAN where he was defeated. So in revenge he called Mhd GHOURI to fight against PRITVIRAJ.

  In 1194, Mhd GHOURI faught the battle of CHANDABAR against the same JAY CHAND and defeated him.

AFTER THIS THE SLAVE DYNANSTY STARTED—

SLAVE DYNASTY

QUTUBUDDIN-IB-AK  had created the SLAVE-DYNASTY. When Mhd GHOURY won the battles ,he went back to his area & before that he choosed “QUTUBUDDIN-AIB-AK” as the ruler of areas of DELHI on 1206.

  As QUTUBUDDIN-AIB-AK was one of the slaves of Mhd GHOURY ,the dynasty created by him is known as “SLAVE DYNASTY”.

àQUTUBUDDIN –AIB-AK(1206-1210)

QUTUBUDDIN-AIB-AK had built the only 1^st stair of QUTUB MINAR & the other four stairs were built by “ILLTUTMIS”.ILLTUTMIS was the son in law of QUTUBUDDIN-AIB-AK &  he was the ruler after QUTUBUDDIN-IB-AK.

àILLTUTMIS (1211-1236) (25 YRS)

-         He expanded his ruling areas firstly defeating muslim rulers of GHAZNI(multan & Bengal).

-         He was the second ruler of slave dynasty.

  Before dead of illtutmis, he claimed his daughter “RAJIA SULTAN”  as the ruler of his dynasty ON 1236.

àRAJIA SULTAN (1236-1240)

SHE was the first woman ruler of indian history.She was killed in 1240AD as people have problem to bow down their heads infront of a woman-ruler.For her spirit of religion was more important than its parts.

àGHYASUDDIN BALBAN (1266-1287)

He was the very powerful king of that era.His main principles were Divine Rights of kings,royal descend & despotism.
